The successful candidate for this position will be an integral member of the US Finance entity. This position is located in Bridgewater, NJ and is responsible for supporting the Sr. Director of Finance, and gross-to-net team on various tasks. From analytical support on divestitures or integrations, to preparing entries and reconciliations during the month-end process, this individual will be responsible for key critical tasks that impact multiple business units. The candidate should have experience in reviewing financial information and preparing analysis to management in order to support business decisions. This position provides financial and accounting support to the US Financial and Reporting Team and to the US Accounts Receivable team.




  • Prepare monthly close reports for use in calculation of monthly accrual for various gross to net accounts such as returns, sales discounts, chargebacks and coop
  • Prepare journal entries for gross to net accruals for specific balance sheet accounts as well as necessary allocation and reclass entries to support reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end/quarter-end accounting close with strict adherence to Corporate reporting deadlines and SOX compliance
  • Support on various analysis of the aged trial balance reports, especially with deductions to ensure accruals are properly set to capture actuals
  • Support on divestiture or integration activities; transition services support and ad hoc analysis and report preparation as needed
  • Ensure accrual and reconciliations are in line with department Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines of gross to net policies      
  • Support on audits, providing reconciliations, reports and support required per SOX controls
  • Support key quarter-end tasks such as revenue recognition; testing and prepping entries for recording sales
  • Work with and support the business units on forecast and trend analysis, tracking planned versus actuals for specific areas
  • Assist in the preparation of the cash forecast for AR payments as needed, review trends, report discrepancies and work with AR on identifying risks
  • Track activity on deductions such as coop advertising and returns for specific businesses; report trends on these deductions, fluctuations and highlight areas of risk
  • Provide analytical, accounting and reporting support to the Accounting team, including explanations on changes month over month on contra revenue and contra AR accounts for monthly accounting reviews
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests for Finance team as needed.
  • Responsible for all Sox compliance and audit support related to the above duties
  • Assist in month-end reporting including booking journal entries, reconciling GL accounts, organizing journal entries, and compilation and analysis of reporting package for senior management’s review
  • Support Sr. Director and VP of Finance with Ad Hoc projects


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is required
  • 5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience – pharmaceutical/manufacturing industry preferred
  • Interested candidates must possess high ethical standards, strong verbal and written communication skills, strong technical and analytical skills, and a team player
  • Willing to commit to longer hours during the month-end/quarter-end close as needed
  • Ability to use advanced Excel spreadsheet functions and formulas to build and maintain models used for calculating and forecasting gross-to-net deductions
  • Exposure to AR and/or gross-to-net accounting desired
  • Ability to interact and provide information to all levels of personnel, including senior management
