Overview

The Senior Systems Analyst will work collaboratively with Valeant’s commercial/non-commercial Applications and integrations. This individual will provide ongoing support of existing applications while recommending best practices and leading projects to implement new features to further leverage our investment in the commercial area. Strong techno functional knowledge and expertise on commercial systems is required. Tasks will include: analysis, requirements gathering, design documentation, configuration, unit testing, user test coordination, training documentation and execution, and cutover management.

Responsibilities

  • Solve application incidents, analyze issues and identify their source. Perform root cause analysis to determine and drive potential solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and vendor partners to deliver operational changes.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and own the remediation to deliver it on timely to comply with SOX/GXP standards.
  • Works with software vendors, internal teams and 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot complex system related issues.
  • Manage change requests from multiple sources and prioritize appropriately.
  • Configure and deploy change requests while adhering to established change control procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Works with end-users and IT project teams to gather business requirements for system upgrades and/or enhancements. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the project objectives, IT/business processes and business functions.
  • Establish project plans including resource and timeline requirements. Effectively communicate project status throughout the life of the project.
  • Lead SDLC phases of projects and deliver on milestones based on agreed upon project deadlines and schedules.
  • Prepare solution design specifications employing use case documents, diagrams, and screen mockups as applicable.
  • Assist the business in the development of test plans and test cases, and support them in their execution of user acceptance testing activities.
  • Assists in the development of test scripts, if necessary assists in test cases execution, gather and analyze test results for the remediation and re-testing process.
  • Assists with the development and execution of change management/training during the implementation or rollout of a new module.

Qualifications

  • 7 – 10 years of Pharmaceutical industry and project management experience.
  • Solid understanding of Pharmaceutical Revenue Management business processes in Sales, Marketing and Gross to Net areas like Chargeback, Government Pricing, Trade and Distribution, and Managed Care and Medicaid Rebates using Revitas Flex environment.
  • Strong experience in the Revitas Suite of software including Flex 7.7 and higher, Medicaid Classic 8.6
  • Experience with any ERP will be a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; an ability to present and discuss technical, functional and managerial information clearly and concisely, establish rapport, persuade others, and gain understanding.
  • Experienced in configuring the COTS Revitas application.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate complex technical issues.
  • Experience with navigating complex interpersonal and business relationships is required.
  • Experience with system landscapes and process mapping is required.
  • Experience with eliciting and documenting business requirements is required.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept and flexible to take on additional project work as needed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications, SharePoint ECM and Project Management tools like MS-Project and Visio.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to serve as individual contributor or project leader if needed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management or a related field.
  • Trained on Revitas/Model N systems.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, operating systems, technical database concepts and design.
  • DBA Skills would be very useful.
  • Experience with SOX and GXP standards is plus.
