Responsibilities

The Director, Professional Strategy will create and deploy strategic plans to cultivate and maintain solid and credible relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), educational institutions, associations, and advisory boards.  Additionally, the role will also include cross-functional support of business goals, including sales force training, development, marketing and field sales support. This position will report to the Senior Director, Professional Strategy, Vision Care, and support of the Bausch + Lomb US Vision Care business.

  • Create KOL strategies to further develop and solidify productive relationships across the Bausch & Lomb Vision Care Portfolio
  • Develop and coordinate advisory boards in alignment with Brand Leads to uncover key insights to support future marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Foster strong relationships with key industry groups, association, and educational institutions to build trust, respect and credibility in Bausch & Lomb’s brands.
  • Collaborate with Professional Education/Brand Leads to manage/monitor all promotional speaker program engagements including contracting, KOL/CLE selection, training, field engagement.
  • Collaborates with cross functional team members to develop and implement strategies in support of marketed products, launches, and development projects
  • Successfully integrates and leverages an extensive knowledge of the company, market and industry practices and trends to guide business and marketing strategies and drive top line growth.
  • Work with team to anticipate key marketplace trends, opportunities and vulnerabilities to position to organization appropriately

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance, project execution and producing outstanding results
  • Ability to lead strategy development and follow on execution
  • Significant, direct experience servicing customer needs, demonstrated ability to work with multiple clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations
  • Clear networking and alliance building capabilities with an ability to influence and develop others, and navigate the internal processes
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team-based culture
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic and fast paced business environment with multiple and changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Goal oriented, self-motivated, team player.
  • OD preferred. Undergraduate degree required.
  • Other Job Requirements: Domestic Travel required, ability to travel overnight ~40%
