Responsibilities

Responsible for managing and coordinating sourcing and procurement activities for consulting and professional services.

 

Provide leadership for all sourcing and procurement activities for consulting and professional services. Collaborate with all functions to optimize sourcing decisions and to ensure a high level of performance and customer service.
Responsible for delivering cost savings through competitive bidding process and effective negotiation of service agreements. Manage all costs and ensure complete contract compliance.


Responsible for performing all aspects of sourcing and procurement activities in support of major initiatives including stakeholder requirement analysis, identification of bidders list, RFP/RFQ development, conducting competitive bid events, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, risk mitigation, supply continuity, and supplier performance.


Collaborate with internal customers to create thorough business requirements and develop strong sourcing strategies. Persuade internal clients to engage Procurement as a strategic versus tactical partner while communicating Procurement value. Maintain high level of communication across the organization.


Stay abreast of market and industry trends in order to benchmark and develop Procurement best practices. Make sourcing decisions considering total value to the Company including quality, service, technology, risk, compliance, and cost. Support other indirect procurement projects as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with related experience required. MS/MBA/CPM/CPIM a plus.

 

Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing and procurement. Demonstrated experience negotiating complex service agreements.  Experience in the sourcing of consulting and professional services preferred. 

Proven experience in RFI/RFP/RFQ development, evaluation, negotiations, execution, and contract management. Demonstrated proficiency in developing procurement strategies which comprehend and contribute to overall business objectives is a must. 

Candidate must have applied experience in the understanding of legal issues, contractual principles, and negotiation techniques used in the development of complex contractual agreements.

Must have proven track record of delivering cost reductions through effective sourcing and negotiation.

Procurement supervisory experience required. Must be familiar with supply base performance metrics and key performance indicators.   

Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively influence all levels of management. Ability to think critically and multitask with sense of urgency. Experience with e-procurement tools a plus.
