Opportunity to work in a small, high-performing team with exposure to business leaders; reports directly to the Vice President and Assistant General Counsel; provides legal review of sales and marketing matters; drafts and negotiates various types of commercial contracts; provides counsel to the sales and marketing, regulatory and medical teams; provides employment counseling; provides other general legal advice to the businesses; manages litigation.  Position will involve a very diverse practice. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides counsel to our marketing, regulatory and medical teams on advertising and promotional regulations, fraud and abuse laws, and business and contract issues in our day-to-day operations
  • Provides legal advice regarding commercial and development operations
  • Drafts and reviews a variety of commercial agreements, including supply and manufacturing contracts
  • Provides general legal advice to support commercial operations
  • Counsels on employment-related matters
  • Other tasks as Company requires
  • Alliance Management

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor Degree and authorized to practice law in a state in the U.S.
  • 8-10 years of law firm and/or in-house experience
  • Pharmaceutical / healthcare industry experience is preferred.
  • Regulatory counseling experience
  • Employment counseling experience
  • Skilled in drafting and negotiating contracts
  • Licensing/deal experience helpful
  • Ability to analyze complex legal matters
  • Provides timely and accurate advice
  • Able to perform legal research
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Comfortable interacting with senior members of commercial team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent judgment
  • Confident team player who is highly collaborative and flexible
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Attention to detail; tenacious in following up
