    Effectively plan production of Manufactured Assemblies and Finished Goods to meet or exceed all global Customer Service level and Inventory goals.

     

    Synergetics/O’Fallon: includes Shop-Floor/Production planning and shop order creation for all O’Fallon-manufactured end-item product.  Additional planning and coordination with Machining and subassembly manufacturing to support the end-item production plan.

    Responsibilities

    • Determine daily/weekly production plans to meet actual and forecasted customer demands and maintain safety stocks; coordinate with Manufacturing management.
    • Create shop orders to execute production plans; coordinate with Materials, Manufacturing, and QC groups as required.
    • Maintain Bills of Materials for manufactured and outside processed assemblies; cross-functionally coordinate BoM changes to minimize scrap and disruption to Manufacturing while maintaining Service Level goals.  Coordinate new product set-up with Engineering.
    • Maintain Planning, Routing, Backflushing, Receiving, etc. parameters in the Manufacturing/MRP system.
    • Review and allocate/time-phase orders as required to avoid supply interruptions to customers.
    • Identify and implement improvements to costs, processes, and global planning.
    • Communicate actual and potential supply chain disruptions to local management team as discovered; actively seek solution(s).
    • Key Relationships: 

      -Manufacturing: capacity planning and production prioritization.

      -Materials: coordinate component movement, as required, prioritize MTO Packaging activity.

      -Purchasing: Component change timing and shortage communication.

      -Customer Service: MTO information, Backorder resolution, Order allocation

    Qualifications

    • Education (Required):  BA or BS | Education (Preferred): + APCIS certification
    • Experience (Required): 3-5 years using lean MRP/DRP & Manufacturing systems
    • Experience (Preferred): 2+ years using a global DRP system
    • Excellent understanding of MRP/DRP and Manufacturing systems, verbal and written communication skills, change management skills, able to use the standard Microsoft suite of products
