  • Overview

    Valeant has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Controller’s Group, specifically working in the Global Consolidations and Systems department. This position will be located in Bridgewater, NJ and will report directly to the Manager of Finance.  In supporting the global financial reporting process for internal and external reporting, this role will primarily be responsible for the creation, refinements, and updates of business reports, presentations, dashboards, and other routine analyses.  The Financial Analyst will also focus on assisting individuals throughout the organization with various ad-hoc analysis requests to support management decision making.


    • The role will be responsible for identifying process improvements, and implementing the methodologies that enhance financial reporting
    • This position will require the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and become a subject matter expert in the areas related to Financial Reporting and Systems
    • The candidate must be comfortable operating independently in a fast paced environment and must have strong analytical and financial system competencies
    • Develop and maintain change control processes and procedures for all UDA’s
    • Creation of internal financial reports for month and quarter close as well as budgeting and forecast submissions
    • Drive on-going process improvements for financial planning & reporting tools and systems by meeting with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify opportunities and develop an implementation strategy
    • Work with management to ensure all BI and Reporting activities comply with audit procedures and SOX controls
    • Host training sessions to help other departments better understand the reporting tools available


    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent
    • A minimum of 2 – 3 years of finance or business related experience is required
    • Candidate must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong computer skills are required, especially with MS Excel
    • Experience with HFM, Hyperion Planning, and FDMEE is a plus
    • Ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required
    • Ability to interact with multiple departments and levels of the organization
    • Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to implement process improvements, create efficiencies, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Demonstrate clear, concise oral and written communication within teams and among various constituents
